Brother Farnham was reared on a dairy farm in Vermont by an atheist father and an agnostic Jewish mother. Brother Farnham was saved in 1974 through the witness of a high school underclassmen. God called him to preach in 1976, and he enrolled at Tennessee Temple College where he met his wife Kathryn and married. Brother Farnham served fifteen years as an assistant pastor, twenty-eight years as a senior pastor, and now has invested nearly five years in revival and conference work. His itinerant ministry has taken him to well over half the States and to several provinces of Canada. For thirty years, Evangelist Farnham has edited The Trumpet of Truth, a bi-monthly e-publication for preachers. He has authored eight books. The Farnhams have five grown children and ten grandchildren.

What if I have special dietary requirements?Please indicate on your registration if you have special dietary requirements. We would love to work with you! Our food service team will be able to provide you with a menu and help you determine which foods from our menu you will be able to enjoy. Our kitchen does its best to accommodate for dietary restrictions but plan to bring your own specialty foods to supplement meal times.

What if I’m hungry in the middle of the day?Our camp snack shop, The Trading Post, has plenty of snacks, drinks, souvenirs, and much more to meet all your needs!

Will I like the food?We hear all the time that our campers love our food! Our camp kitchen believes in providing our campers with healthy and nutritious meals that will fuel their adventures and ensure they have the energy they need for all of our exciting activities. We only serve one option at each meal, but our kitchen staff works hard to ensure that each meal is delicious and well-balanced. Our dining hall is a great place to socialize and make new friends, and we hope that campers will enjoy the experience of eating together as a community!

How many people will be in my cabin with me?All our main cabins will have 7-9 campers with 1-2 counselors. Our bunkhouse cabins will have 8-10 campers with 1-2 counselors.

How many services are there each day?Most days there are three Bible preaching/teaching times (on Monday and Friday there are only one). Each morning and evening there will be a main preaching time from your designated teen/junior preacher. Each morning, campers will be split up in smaller groups for a special lesson time from many different, qualified speakers. These are special and important times each day!

What should I wear?MEN/BOYS: Please wear long pants with collared shirts to the evening meals and services. Please, no earrings, body jewelry, or T-shirts with worldly advertisements. Shorts that reach the knee are suitable for sport activities. WOMEN/GIRLS: Please bring dresses or skirts that reach at least to the knee when seated to the evening meals and services. Slits in skirts must not come above the knee. Loose fitting pants or shorts that reach the knee are suitable for sport activities only. Please, no open midriffs, tank or tight tops. Please, no tank tops, low neckline garments (front or back), or T-shirts with worldly advertisements. TMBC reserves the right to ask any camper to change his/her attire if the camp staff feels it necessary.

What is there to do at camp?We offer a wide range of activities to keep our campers engaged and entertained. Some of the activities that we offer include basketball, volleyball, soccer, canoeing, kayaking, team competitions, and much more! Our program is designed to provide a variety of experiences that help campers have fun, make lasting friendships, and prepare their hearts for the preaching of God's word. We also have special activities throughout the week, such hiking, campfires, and preaching/singing competitions. Our staff is trained to ensure that all activities are safe, fun, and inclusive for all campers.

Can my child bring their prescribed medication?Yes! Medication prescribed for campers must be from a licensed pharmacy; labeled with the name, address, and phone number of the pharmacy; name of the camper; name and strength of the medicine; directions for use; date filled; prescription number; and the name of the practitioner prescribing the medicine. This will be turned in to the camper nurse at registration on Monday afternoon. The camp nurse will make sure each child gets the prescribed amount of each medication at each designated time. At the end of camp, the remaining medication will be returned to the parent.

How does our church pay the final balance?Your churches final balance is due upon arrival at camp. You can do this by mailing a check in advance or paying by cash, check, or card upon arrival.

Can sponsors bring their children to camp?Limited space is available for sponsors to bring their children (ages 0-8*) during any week this summer. Because there will be no childcare provided, children will need to remain with a parent during the services and sponsor meetings. For availability and pricing, please contact the camp office. *If your child is at least 9 years old or will be entering the third grade in the upcoming school year, he or she will attend the junior or teen camp program.

Can all our campers stay in the same cabin?Generally, we try to place churches in the same cabin, however, if your church group exceeds the limit of one of our cabins they will need to be split up into more than one cabin. Additionally, cabins are divided into designated junior and teen cabins.

Is it worth registering early?Absolutely! You get a discount as well as being able to choose the week that best fits your church’s needs.

Does my child need to bring any spending money?No, but it might be nice. Our Trading Post has a great selection of snacks, candy, drinks, ice cream products, TMBC “gear” (t-shirts, hats, jackets, etc.), and much more. The store also has CDs, Bible Study books, and many other items that will help your child in their spiritual growth. Additionally, there may be opportunities during services to give an offering.

What should my child do with prescribed medication?Upon arrival, each camper will turn in any regularly prescribed medication to our Camp Nurse. Each day, the camper will be given their medicine by the camp nurse and be followed up on to make sure they have taken the dosage for that day.

Is there someone to help my child if they get hurt or sick?Each week we have a registered Camp Nurse. Our camp is also equipped with a designated building that is capable of taking care of most minor injuries and illnesses. We have a great working relationship with a local doctor and hospital should there be any need for additional medical needs. Be assured that we will contact you for any hospital visits.

How can I communicate with my child while they are at camp?In order to keep the campers from being distracted and to minimize the chance for stolen phones, we ask that all cell phones be turned in to their sponsors at the beginning of the week. There is also no traditional cell service at camp. If you need to get in touch with your child, you can call the camp office and request to speak with them. The office staff will coordinate a time that works with your schedule and the camp schedule for him/her to call home.
